Christian Horner Reportedly Reaching Out to Multiple F1 Team Owners
Previous Red Bull chief Christian Horner is apparently "ringing up pretty much every team owner" as he pursues a re-entry to F1, according to the Aston Martin team chief executive officer Andy Cowell.
The British racing team is included in the organizations that have been linked with the ex-boss.
The Aston Martin CEO mentioned he had checked the developments with team owner Lawrence Stroll on Friday at the Singapore GP.
"It looks as though Christian is contacting nearly every team principal at the moment," said Cowell.
"I can definitively state there are no intentions for the participation of Christian in an leadership or investment capacity in the future."
Other Teams Comment
Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu stated that the former Red Bull leader had "reached out to" the American squad but noted: "Nothing has gone any further. It is finished."
Alpine executive director Steve Nielsen mentioned the squad's senior consultant and acting leader Flavio Briatore was "old friends" with Horner.
The team official continued: "I have no knowledge what they discuss. Everything I know is there are no plans for Christian to arrive at Alpine but that doesn't mean it couldn't occur."
The historic British team chief James Vowles stated that the former Red Bull leader had not reached out to them.
"We're very happy with the structure we have and it's functioning," the team principal said. "There's no cause to alter this."
Background Context
Horner is able to come back Formula 1 by the mid-next season after finalising a severance package with Red Bull on 22 September.
The 51-year-old was dismissed as Red Bull team principal after the British Grand Prix in the month of July.
Multiple sources at the racing team have indicated the financial arrangement was estimated at 60m euros (52 million pounds).
